All of which culminates with an epic (though sadly not-playable) flooding sequence. Well things soon turn pear-shaped as the artifact (a mystical dagger), when removed from its pedestal sets into motion an event called by the ancient Mayans as ‘The Cleansing’ which also means apocalypse. The demo that you are put through takes place very close to the start of the adventure and has Lara needs to infiltrate a tomb (as she does) to find a mysterious artifact before it can fall into the hands of a shadowy organisation. Today I got a chance to go hands-on with the game and can safely say I think it’s living up to the hype.
One of the biggest games that Square Enix brought to E3 2018 is the third game in the re-imagining of Lara Croft’s adventures – Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The game promises to be a bolder, bigger, more refined title than what we saw before with several quality of life improvements and new gameplay features to make this the biggest Tomb Raider yet.
